Ingredients
Chili powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Small onions – 10 (thinly sliced)
Ginger - 1 tsp crushed
Garlic – 1 tsp crushed
Onions – 2 nos (finely chopped)
Salt
Curry leaves
Coconut oil
For prawns mix
Prawns – 250 gms, peeled
Ginger - 1 tsp crushed
Garlic – 1 tsp crushed
Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Kudam puli – 2-3 nos
Thengakothu – 2-3 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt
Preparation method
- Boil prawns in ginger garlic, chili powder, turmeric powder, Kadum puli, thengakothu, salt and curry leaves
- Add 1/2 cup water and cook till it is done, make sure that prawns are not over cooked
- Heat oil in a pan and add small onion and fry till it becomes golden brown
- Add ginger, garlic, curry leaves and onion. Saute till the onion becomes light brown
- Add the chili powder, coriander powder & garam masala and fry till the raw smell goes away and oil separates
- Add cooked prawns mix and 1/4 cup water
- Cook it till the water is dried and prawns are well coated with masala. If need be, cook in low heat to ensure that prawns are well cooked
