Pudalankai Kootu II

Ingredients

Pudalankai (Snake Gourd) - 2 cups (1/2 cm cubes)
Channa daal - 1/2 cup
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Coconut grated - 2 tbsp
Garlic - 2 cloves
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Salt

Preparation method

  • Pressure cook daal in 1 cup of water, salt and turmeric for 3 whistles
  • Grind grated coconut to paste
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry mustards until the pop
  • Add garlic and fry for a min
  • Add curry leaves and hing
  • Add pudalankai and cook until well done
  • Add granted coconut paste and cook for a couple of mins
  • Add channa daal and cook until dry
