Fusilli pasta in Bechamel Sauce


Serves: 2

Ingredients
Fusilli Pasta - 1 cup
Olive oil - 1 tsp
Broccoli - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2 cups
Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp
All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper-jack jalapeno cheese - 1/4 cup

Preparation Method

  • Boil water in a vessel. Add the pasta and a teaspoon of olive oil. Cook until done and drain the water
  • Boil water in a vesser. Cool broccoli with a little salt until 2/3 done. Drain water
  • Heat milk until until hot. Do not boil. Keep aside
  • Melt butter in a vessel. All flour and cook in low heat until yellow and creamy
  • Add milk warm to the sauce and keep stirring as you add milk
  • Add salt, pepper powder, garlic powder and nutmeg powder
  • Sauce has thickened to about the thickness of curds, add the cheese
  • Add the pasta and broccoli and cook for a few minutes
