Coconut Channa Daal Chutney


Ingredients
Ingredients for grinding
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Fried split channa daal - 1/2 cup
Green Chili - 6-10 nos
Salt as required
water as required
* You can add 1 or 2 cleaned and chopped coriander leaves or 4-5 mint leaves


Ingredients for Tadka
Oil - 2-5 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad daal - 2 tsp
Dried red chili - 2-3 nos
Curry leaves - 4-5 leaves


Preparation method

  • Grind ingredients for grinding to paste in a food processor/mixie with water. Add water in small amounts as per the consistency you like
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and fry till the splutter
  • Add urad daal, dried red chilies and curry leaves. Fry until golden brown
  • Add tadka to the ground paste and mix well
