Ingredients
Onions (Finely chopped) - 100 gm or 1/2 cup
Garlic paste - 25 gms
Tomatoes (finely chopped) - 2 nos or 1/2 cup
Ingredients for masala
Bay leaves - 3 nos
Cinnamon - 1" piece
Cardamom - 5 nos
Cloves - 10 nos
Fennel seeds - 2 tsp
Black pepper seeds - 1 tsp
Cooking method

Coconut oil - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - 20 leaves
Lemon juice - 1/4 lemon
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Powdered black pepper - 1 tbsp

Ingredients for pressure cooking
Beef (small pieces) - 1 kg
Onions (Finely chopped) - 200 gm or 1 cup
Green chilies (slit into half) - 8-12 nos Ginger paste - 25 gmsGarlic paste - 25 gms
Tomatoes (finely chopped) - 2 nos or 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ingredients for masala
Bay leaves - 3 nos
Cinnamon - 1" piece
Cardamom - 5 nos
Cloves - 10 nos
Fennel seeds - 2 tsp
Black pepper seeds - 1 tsp
Cooking method
- Prepare 'masala' by grinding bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper seeds and fennel seeds. You could saute the ingredients before grinding
- Pressure cook the beef with ingredients for pressure cooking and 'Masala' in 4 cups of water for 5 whistles
- Add salt and continue cooking on low heat until almost dry but cooked. Add water as required to cook until soft
- Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan and add cook mustard seeds until they splutter
- Add chopped onions and saute until brown. When onions are brown, add curry leaves
- Add prepared beef and powdered black pepper. Cook in medium heat for 4-5 minutes
