Ingredients
King Fish - 1 lb (steaked)Green chili - 4-5 (slit)
Chili powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - 1 small lime size (soaked in 1 cup warm water)
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Shallots - 1-2 (paste) - optional
Shallots - 1-2 tsp (finely chopped)
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
Prep method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add green chili and saute for a minute
- Add oil paste and fry for a couple of mins
- Add powders and fry for a minute
- Add tamarind water and bring to boil
- Add tomato and bring to boil
- Add fish and cook until fish is cooked
- For seasoning, heat oil and cook mustard seeds until they splutter
- Add onions and fenugreek. Fry until onions are golden brown
- Add curry leaves. Add seasoning to fish curry
