Ingredients
Soak
Rice - 2 cups
Cooked rice - 1/2 cup
Coconut - 3/4 cup
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 6 tsp
Active dry Yeast - 1/2 tsp
Preparation of batter
Soak
Rice - 2 cups
Cooked rice - 1/2 cup
Coconut - 3/4 cup
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 6 tsp
Active dry Yeast - 1/2 tsp
- Soak rice in water overnight
- Grind rice, cooked rice, coconut and grind until smooth paste. Add as little water as possible to get a smooth paste
- Towards the end add coconut mile, salt and sugar. Grind until well mixed and smooth
- In a water, prepare yeast. Add east to 1/4 cup water at 100-110 F with 1/4 tsp sugar. In 10 mins, you should see froth
- Set overnight for fermentation
