Ingredients
Ginger – 100 gm
Mustard – 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt
Coconut oil
Ingredients for masalaTamarind pulp – 1 tsp
Chilly powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Fenugreek powder – 1 tsp
Jaggery powdered – 2 tsp
Preparation Method
- Cut the cleaned ginger in think round slices
- Fry them in coconut oil. Separate the pieces from oil
- Crush the fried ginger into small pieces using a mortar and pestle. Please do not use a mixer
- Mix tamarind pulp, chilly powder, coriander powder, fenugreek powder, jaggery and salt with 1 cup water
- Heat the oil used to cooked the ginger
- Add mustard and heat until they splutter mustard
- Add curry leaves
- Add the paste and crushed ginger pieces
- Let it boil till it becomes thick
