Palak Paneer

Serves - 4-6

Ingredients
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Green Chillies – 3
Red chillies - 2
Ginger and Garlic Paste – 1 teaspoon
Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt
Oil


Preparation ethod
Wash the palak and pressure cook with one cup water for one whistle. Let it cool and grind to a smooth paste
Cut paneer to flat squares. Fry paneer in oil until light brown on both sides. Set aside to cool. Keep in water
Heat oil in a vessel. Add cumin seeds and mustards.
When it splutters add, ginger garlic paste, green chilli and red chilli. Fry for a minute
Add onions and sauté on low flame until the onions are golden brown or mushy
Add tomatoes and turmeric powder. Cook until mushy
Add garam masala and chili powder. Cook until oil separates
Add the palak paste. Bring to boil
Add the paneer and cook for a few minutes. Reduce as required

Note: Adding milk or cream would enhance the flavor
