Egg Malai Masala


Ingredients
Eggs - 6 (boiled)
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Onion - 1 cup (chopped length wise)

Ginger paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste -  1 tsp
Medium size tomatoes - 3 nos (approx 1 cup ... finely chopped)
Green chilies - 5-6 nos
Cardamom - 4-5 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp


Ghee - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil


Preparation Method

  • Cut four slits into the egg. Saute egg in oil. Keep aside
  • Heat oil and fry onions until light brown. Let the onions cool and grind them to a paste
  • Heat oil in a pan and add sugar. Do not let the sugar burn
  • Add cardamom and onion paste. Fry for a couple of mins
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a few mins
  • Add tomatoes and green chilies. Fry for a few mins
  • Add spices and fry until oil separates
  • Reduce heat and pour coconut milk. Add salt to taste
  • Allow to thicken in low heat. Once done, garnish with and coriander leaves
